We are a specialist team of Human Computer Interaction PhDs, psychologists and experienced researchers, meticulously designing user experience research that informs the development of optimised websites, apps, software, wearables and connected devices.
Our work is reducing risk and informing the design of outstanding experiences for organisations large and small.
We invite carefully profiled participants to individual one-to-one sessions in our fully equipped user testing suite. Participants are set real world scenarios so as to simulate true life as closely as possible.
We closely observe users interacting with the solution, listening and learning and carefully questioning to ensure we understand. Sessions are recorded and immediately made available for clients to view.
Analysis of the data tells us what is working well, what isn’t and why. We recommend where and how to design out any confusion or frustration and where and how the user experience can be optimised.

We test ideas, concepts, wireframes, prototypes and live solutions. Testing with real users is one of the most valuable and important things you can do at any stage of the design and development process. You learn so much about your solution and the findings can be transformational.
USER TESTING SUITE
Our user testing facility is equipped with the latest technology and has excellent transport links for participants, as well as a relaxing waiting area. Typically, testing with only 5 users is enough to identify all major issues, making our testing cost-effective and able to fit in to rapid design sprints.

Dr Sam Howard
Co-Founder and Director of Research
Sam is an expert in the design and delivery of user research. He has a Psychology degree and a Human-Computer Interaction PhD from the University of Nottingham. Sam has worked in academic and commercial settings helping UK and global organisations refine and develop products based on user insights.
Sam enjoys finding ways to generate robust user insights in the fast paced environment that is typical of so many organisations. He leads and oversees our research projects.
